The Euromillions Lotto really did start the year with a bang, a triple rollover on the lottery pushed the jackpot up to £50 million for last Fridays draw where it was finally won.
And an impressive win it was too, as the whole £50 million went to a single player! What a way to start the New Year with a £50 million lottery win.

It’s a great start to the year for the Euromillions Lottery and certainly a great start to the year for the lucky player who walked away with the massive jackpot. This player matched all five main numbers in the Euromillions draw plus the two lucky stars to walk away with the biggest and first jackpot of the year.
As always the lucky player wasn’t the only winner as the Euromillions produced many winners from across Europe. Thirteen lucky players matched five main numbers and one lucky star and each of those is now £192,000 richer, another fourteen players matched five main numbers without any lucky stars and they all walk away with over £50,000!
It was certainly a very profitable week for players of the Euromillions, a Europe wide lottery that plays once weekly, every Friday evening. This week the jackpot has been reset and will start again at £13 million. Good luck!

The National Lottery is the lottery played within the UK, played twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday evenings it’s become a national treasure since its launch in 1994.

To play the National Lottery you must choose six numbers between 1 and 49, match all six numbers to the six numbers drawn in the National Lottery draw and win the National Lottery Jackpot. Jackpots start at approximately £2.5 million for each draw and have been known to reach as high as £19 million due to rollover draws.
A rollover is when no tickets match all six numbers in the draw, this causes the jackpot to ‘roll over’ to the next draw pushing it higher and higher. When the lottery jackpot isn’t won for many draws it creates lottery fever pushing the jackpot up even higher.
The National Lottery is run by Camelot and while much of the cash goes back into prizes a great portion of it is put towards charitable donations and donations to the arts and communities. Many of these donations are put forward by the Big Lottery Fund, the charitable branch of the lottery that deals with the lottery good causes.
Players have 180 days after the draw to claim prizes, if prize aren’t claimed within this time then the prize is forfeited and goes back into the good causes fund.
In addition to the main lottery prize smaller prizes are awarded for matching five main numbers and the bonus ball, five numbers without the bonus ball, four numbers and a smaller prize of £10 guaranteed for matching three of the six numbers drawn.

The UK Nationallottery.co.uk is Britain’s biggest lottery and has created scores of millionaires since its launch in November 2004.
It’s not just winners who benefit from the millions of pounds the nationallottery generates but also good causes, charitable organisations and clubs who benefit from lottery grants.
Playing National lottery is really simple, winning is a little more difficult. Just pick 6 numbers and try and match them to the 6 main numbers drawn to win that multi million pound jackpot. There are smaller prizes to be won for matching less than 6 numbers and this is how it works.
For the main lotto draw, 6 numbers plus one bonus ball is drawn from the 49 numbers available, match all 6 main numbers to win the main draw, match 5 numbers plus the bonus ball for a runners up prize (this prize is often over £100,000 and is well worth winning) match 5 numbers for a smaller prize, 4 numbers for a prize of around £50 or match 3 out of the 6 main balls for a £10 prize.
It really is that simple, the only other thing to remember is you need to be over 16 to play and draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday at www.Nationallottery.co.uk.
I’m sure we all dream of what we would do with that big lottery win, hope your dreams come true soon and don’t forget, it really could be you.

The UK national Lottery has become something of a National institution nowadays, I think every one of us spends hours dreaming about what we’d do with that big Lotto win.
So how does it all work? Well all you need to do is choose 6 numbers between 1-49 and match them to the 6 numbers drawn to win the main lottery prize. Sounds so simple when you put it like that!
Draws are every Wednesday and Saturday and if the jackpot is not won then it rolls over to the following draw. There are smaller prizes available too, match any 3 numbers and win £10, match 4 for a larger prize, match 5 for an even bigger prize, 5 plus the bonus and we start to get into life changing amounts of money and of course match all six and find yourself the latest Lotto millionaire.
The chances of winning a huge prize have been equated with your chance of being struck by lightning, however it has to be someone, so I live in hope that one week that someone will be me. A girl has to dream after all and I’ll continue to dream of that big win, my house in the sun and lots and lots of pairs of designer shoes. What would you do with that big win?
